ABOUT THE TEAM

The fencing club has had very successful men's and women's teams for many years. Both the Men's and Women's Teams achieve great results and we hope to build on these successes every year. Our Men's team currently compete in the highest tier of BUCS (British University and College Sport): the premier league and championships. Our Women's team have also recently graduated to compete in the premier league as well and further details of the club's BUCS performance can be found here. Recently the the club's Men's B Team was formed and entered to compete in the BUCS Scottish 2A, with the Women's B Team also being formed last year. All of our teams also regularly compete in Scottish Student Sport (SSS) events and have historically had many successful achievements in both SSS and BUCS events.

If you are interested in joining one of our teams, you are most welcome. Near the beginning of the first semester, details to be posted on our facebook pagelater, we will hold a tryout day to determine the men's and women's first and second teams. Fencers of all ages and experience are welcome, especially as second team slots are a very good way of graduating to the first team for less experienced fencers.
